Dominican
Advance firmly
believes in the potential and mutual blessing of team ministry. In the
dynamics of a team, each member has his or her own talents and role
but shares a common goal and interdependence with the rest of the members.
The ability of one member is dependent upon the supporting contribution
of another. Together they achieve much more than they could hope to
accomplish working alone.
Dominican Advance
is currently looking to expand its team due to the demands
of growth. Below are several positions that we will need to fill in
the coming months, and other positions that are less urgent. Anyone
interested in one of the positions listed on this Web page must show
evidence a solid Christian testimony, the ability to perform their
role well, and a dedication to the future of the Dominican people.

Christian
School Elementary Teacher's Assistant.
Location: Nazareth Village, North Coast, Dominican Republic.
Job description: Assist Dominican teachers in
classroom and school yard setting during calendar school year.
Requirements: Some degree of Spanish language
mastery (preferably a native speaker); interact well with children;
be a team player and willing to follow directions, live a lifestyle
that conforms to school standards. Compensation: Voluntary
position. Candidate would have to be self-supporting.
- Director
of Microbusiness.
Location: United
States and Dominican Republic. Job Description: Promote,
teach, and organize the Microbusiness Program. Travel back and forth
from the DR would be necessary. Requirements: Some
Spanish leading toward full command of the language; business background
with an ability to speak to business people to promote the program;
a strong desire to see Dominicans prosper in small business, Compensation:
Beginning salary small, working towards large salary with
benefits.
- Dominican
Advance Presenter.
Location:
United
States and Canada. Job Description: A "presenter"
effectively presents the vision, heart, and programs of Dominican
Advance with the objective of raising support, child
sponsorships, and inspiring others to join the ministry, Requirements:
Presenter can work in one congregation or itinerate, ideally
they would already have a speaking ministry of some sort and could
add our presentation to their itinerary. They must be capable of representing
our ministry well both in word, actions, and character and have made
at least one trip to see what we are doing in the Dominican first
hand, Compensation: Presently - volunteer with some
expenses covered.

2.0 - "Facebook" Facilitor.
Location: Anywhere.
Job
Description: Interact, oversee, and monitor the future Dominican
Advance "Facebook" project, Requirements:
Experience with Facebook or Facebook type Web site, a desire to communicate
online, understanding and commitment to the ministry of Dominican
Advance, Compensation: Volunteer.
- Prayer
and Worker Interns.
Location: Dominican
Republic. Job Description: Interns spearhead prayer
initiatives (prayer times, walks, and prayer evangelism) and help
with general outreach and servant projects, Requirements:
Solid Christian testimony with pastoral references; heart
for missions; dedication to learning the Spanish language with the
goal of becoming functionally fluent; willingness to roll up one's
sleeves and work, Compensation: Experience gained
on the mission field, interns must raise their own support
